The \u00d3A Foundation<\/strong> is an organization of a foundational nature with its own legal personality and full capacity to act; it is a non-profit organization and its assets are destined in a lasting way to the realization of purposes of general interest.<\/p>\n

The Foundation shall be governed by Law 50\/2002, of December 26, 2002, and other legal provisions in force on Foundations, by the foundational will expressed in the deed of incorporation and its Bylaws, as well as by the rules and regulations established by the Board of Trustees for their interpretation and development.<\/p>\n

The headquarters of the \u00d3A Foundation is located at Plaza Pilatos 5, 2\u00ba Izq. 41003 Seville (Spain). <\/p>\n

The fulfillment of the foundational purposes as well as the interpretation and execution of the foundational will are entrusted to the Board of Trustees, with no other limitations than those established by these Bylaws and by the legislation in force on foundations. <\/p>\n

All the positions of its Board of Trustees are free of charge and will be accountable to the Protectorate as established in Chapter III of Law 50\/2002, of December 26, 2002, on Foundations and the concordant regulations of RD 1337\/2005, of November 11, 2005, which approves the Regulations of Foundations of State Competence.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Foundation’s purpose is to promote the careers of young singers and lyric professionals, mainly Spanish and Latin American, through scholarships, prizes or study grants, which can be of very different types depending on the type of scholarship holder. Encouraging their training, studies and improvement for their professionalization with all kinds of studies, classes, master classes, courses, etc., as well as preparation of concerts, auditions, performances, trips, lodging, meals, didactic material, etc. In addition, the \u00d3A Foundation will have as its purpose the dissemination of the lyrical genre, mainly Spanish and Latin American, and its creators, professionals and artists, through all kinds of publications, realization and promotion of concerts, operas, courses, workshops, forums, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, studies, research, recordings of all kinds, etc., as well as public activities aimed at creating, promoting and developing both the repertoire and its artists and professionals, and especially the young scholarship holders of the \u00d3A Foundation, contributing to their training, professionalization and dissemination throughout the world. <\/p>

The Foundation will foster relationships and collaborations with individuals, professionals, associations, foundations, companies, theaters, festivals and other institutions that share its interest in opera and artists in the European Union, Latin America and the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

Originally from Venezuela, Oscar Martos Hidalgo forged his musical career in the core of the Movimiento de Orquestas Juveniles de Venezuela since 1981, where he later pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Music, mention in Opera, at the Conservatorio Superior de M\u00fasica Simon Bolivar in the city of Caracas.<\/p>\n

His training is complemented from the beginning, immediately joining the circuit of operas, concerts and oratorios throughout the country organized by the maestro Jode Antonio Abreu, to later continue his studies in the United States, landing in Europe in 2004.<\/p>\n

The parallelism between opera and business entrepreneurship has led Oscar Martos Hidalgo to direct OCURI HOLDING, a group made up of more than 20 companies dedicated mainly to the industrial, fashion, luxury and communication sectors.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Master in Lied and French Melodie by the Escuela Superior de M\u00fasica de Catalu\u00f1a under the advice of the specialist Francisco Poyato. He has participated in different cycles and concert halls such as the International Music Week of Denia, Association of Friends of the Opera in Sabadell, Palau de la M\u00fasica in Valencia, Goethe Institut, ADDA in Alicante and 30th anniversary \u00d3PERA ACTUAL at the Liceu. His first professional internship was precisely in the magazine \u00d3PERA ACTUAL, with which he is still closely related as a correspondent in Switzerland and supporting its international promotion. In 1991, \u00d3PERA ACTUAL decided to embark on the adventure of creating a magazine specializing in Spanish opera, driven by our enthusiasm for a genre that, at that time, rarely had a regular written publication in Spain. From the beginning we had the support of the prestigious C\u00edrculo del Liceo, a private club closely linked to the Gran Teatre del Liceu, a Barcelona theater with a great lyrical tradition, in addition to hosting our magazine.
